DAYS 1 / 2 WELCOME TO COSTA RICA!

After a long trip, it is important to recharge batteries, for this reason, you will rest in a hotel in the middle of downtown San José city and near the main tourist destinations.

The next day… the adventure starts! After having a full breakfast, you will be on your way to San Gerardo de Rivas, which is the town where the first challenge of the trip starts: the ascent to Chirripo Mount (Cerro Chirripó in Spanish), considered to be the Costa Rican roof.

The car renting company will deliver the vehicle you rent at the hotel, and from there, you can head to the mountains. After your arrival, the lodge will have a delicious dinner waiting for you after a long day.

DAYS 3 / 4 / 5 SEE THE SUNRISE FROM THE ROOF OF COSTA RICA

Here is where the biggest challenge starts.

This is the ascent to Mount Chirripo with (12,532ft above sea level).

The ascent will have last 2 days, as you pass through different sceneries. We will spend the night in a lodge located approximately 10,171 feet which has all the necessary amenities for you to rest and recharge batteries.

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to hit the summit and enjoy the sunrise with views of the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean from its peak. There, all the effort will finally be worth it.

The fourth day of our trip, we will go on a small path (optional) very near the hotel where we will be able to enjoy the visit to waterfalls. After that, we will start the longest part of the hike, from San Gerardo de Rivas until Flamingo, in Guanacaste Province.

In this part of the path, you can make an optional stop in Tarcoles River, known as the river of crocodiles, where you will be able to see animals of this species from the bridge of thehighway; you may see up to 15 crocodiles at once, fully free.

Once we get to our destination, we will rest in the hotel.

DAYS 6, 7 / 8 SCUBA DIVING WITH MANTA RAYS

During these three days, we will enjoy scuba diving adventures. During our stay in the beautiful Guanacaste Province, paradisiacal beaches and relaxation will characterize the experience. With two immersions per day in the morning time, we will have the opportunity to discover the marine wildlife that annually visits the Gulf of Papagayo, such as manta rays, sea turtles, whales, and a unique quantity of fish.

The schools of fish will surround you in every immersion making of this challenge an unforgettable experience. After 12h-13h we will finish the adventure; then, the traveler will have the opportunity of going on many excursions to nearby beaches or to relax by the pool reading a good book.
