ARENAL VOLCANO: Sights of a Perfect Cone and a Legendary Ceiba

In Costa Rica, par entrance fees are destined to improving and protecting natural areas. The Team of Animal Limit supports the use of the route of the National Park; however, the team does not support the idea of privatization of natural areas, which is the case of other existing routes in the area.
This is a natural route, well-signposted and a positive height different worth mentioning. This is how you experience Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica.

 

This is a trip to enjoy with the serenity transmitted by the natural intensity of this place; imagine how you will enjoy eating with a view of the Arenal Volcano. With a little luck and patience, you might spot toucans, sloths, monkeys or snakes.

 

Paying the park entrance fee allows visitors to go on two different routes; to both you can access from the same parking lot. The two routes are separated by a distance of 1.2 miles.

 

The first route offers a circular section of 1.9 miles; here, surrounded by a captivating green, you will be able to witness hundred-year-old Ceiba of an enormous size. This is without a doubt, a place to make a beautiful memory of the thousands of marvelous places in Costa Rica.

 

You can also step on the solidified lava from decades before with views of the volcano that leave you breathless. This is an incredible destination to stop for a bite to eat.

 

Other less dense areas will allow you to see the lake and the volcano. This will complete a journey that will surely leave your camera roll full of pictures with incredible memories in them.

CELESTE RIVER WATERFALL: Magical Waters

We recommend that you hire a guide at the park entrance for approximately 30$ (1-5pax). We consider the knowledge that may be imparted to be of great interest.
This is a simple route with little positive height; pictures of this magical place will be a great addition to your photo album.

 

This waterfall is located in the lush tropical forests of Tenorio Volcano National Park. The park is home to incredible biodiversity; you can see tapirs, ocelots, monkeys, toucans, and a great diversity of amphibians and reptiles.

 

The route of 2.5 miles will lead you through primary and secondary forests to a place that seems to be taken from the most amazing tales: “Los Teñideros”; this is the place where the River gets its blue-green color.

 

Here, you can see the incredible natural phenomenon that takes place because of a chemical volcanic reaction resulting in bluish crystal clear waters.

 

You can also see the majestic waterfall that has a blue-green color. This is a place that will leave you speechless without a doubt.

CAHUITA: A Wild Path along Paradisiacal Beaches

This is one of those paths that inspire you. It will allow you to feel a unique sentiment; it will be an experience you will never forget. You cannot leave this beautiful country without first visiting the paradisiacal beaches of Cahuita and leaving your footprints in their sand.

 

This is a place that you fall in love with as soon as you arrive in it; it is the perfect place for admiring the colorful Costa Rica fauna.

 

Let yourself go as you go hike through a path that will make you feel like you are in a different world; the sounds of the howler monkeys, the butterflies fluttering and the sound of the waves crashing against the beach shore will accompany you throughout the journey.

 

We recommend that you go on a slow pace enjoying the journey. You can stop for a while under the shadow of a palm tree in one of these postcard beaches, swim in the crystal clear waters, and continue the hike as many times as you want.

MANUEL ANTONIO: Scenic and Unique Beauty; the jewel of Costa Rica

This is one of the places with the biggest biodiversity in its beaches, and with a unique, scenic beauty. Manuel Antonio has been ranked as one of the 12 most beautiful parks of the world.
The smallest National Park of Costa Rica.

 

Manuel Antonio is the jewel of the Pacific; Manuel Antonio National Park has one of the best beaches of the world. It is the most visited park because of its diverse fauna including 109 species of mammals, and 184 of birds.

 

It owes its popularity to its big beaches with white sand that meet beautiful lush forests.

 

Besides its beaches, the park has a tropical rainforest where many species of flora and fauna coexist; however, many face dangers of extinction. It also has a mangrove, marine landscapes, islands and a lagoon of 34 acres.

 

The park is very well-maintained as well as sign-posted with wooden signs that make the trip easier. You can get here from the town of Manuel Antonio.

CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK: Step into the Wildest of Costa Rica.

Corcovado National Park is very diverse ecologically , and it is inside one of the richest locations biologically. Corcovado National Park is the biggest and only tropical primary rainforest in the world..

 

Corcovado is exotic and lush; it houses thirteen main ecosystems. During the two-day and one-night hiking journey in the Sirena Station, in the heart of the park, you will be able to see a great variety of fauna and flora. In the 101,313 acres of park territory; the park protects over 140 species of mammals, 400 bird species (20 of which are endemic), 116 species of reptiles and amphibians, 40 species of fish and at least 500 species of trees. Corcovado National Park is also a great place to spot tapirs, anteaters, wild cats, including pumas and jaguars, crocodiles, and many more.

 

The hike may begin in Drake Bay or Puerto Jimenez. The Animal Limit team has chosen the path that starts in Drake Bay, because of the natural beauty of this location and due to the easier access to Caño Island.

At a short distance from Coco Islands, we propose that you go scuba diving in the best spot of Costa Rica.

 

Catalina Islands, which you can see from the coast of Flamingo Beach, is a unique and magical place. Its rocky formations of volcanic origins serve as home to a very diverse marine life.

 

This is also a passing area for hundreds of species; you might experience scuba divingwith gigantic manta rays, dolphins, schools of whiptail stingrays, hundreds of blowfish, and schools of fish of huge sizes. You could also spot oceanic white-tip sharks.

Life is unbelievable; so much that in it, you can find the hope that the Planet Earth still has a chance.

Caño Island is a small island located 12.4 miles from Drake Bay. It is located West of Osa Peninsula in the Pacific Ocean. This island is a biological reserve since 1978.

 

The island is surrounded by five platforms of coral reefs covered by crystal clear waters which make it one of the best places for this exciting adventure. The best attraction of the island is underwater.

It is qualified as one of the best in the world; it is considered to be a new and different place to explore with walls of a depth that go from 10 to 79 feet deep.

 

The rocky formations of volcanic origin provide the foundations for the coral reefs which at the same time allow the presence of mollusks, crustaceans, and numerous species of fish of which oceanic whitetip sharks stand out; they basically rule the territory. You can also see sea turtles, manta rays, shark whales, and humpback whales that you can spot migrating with their calves to the calm, warm Costa Rican waters.

Get lost in its web of canals and delight from the views from the canoe. In addition, from June to October, it is the nesting season of the green sea turtles and leatherback sea turtles.

This is considered to be one of the richest areas regarding flora and fauna in Costa Rica. Tortuguero is one of the wildest areas in Costa Rica, with the biggest biological variety. Eleven different habitats have been identifies, as it is the case with 2000 plant species, and 400 species of trees. There is also a big variety of animal species.

 

Furthermore, this is the most important area of all the West side of the Caribbean given the fact that this is a nesting site for sea turtles like the green sea turtle and others like the hawksbill and the leatherback sea turtles.

 

Tortuguero National Park is located in the Caribbean Coast. It was declared as such in 1975, and it was created in order to protect the flora and fauna of the area, to facilitate research, scientific studies, and motivate environmental education.
