DAY 1 WELCOME TO PANAMA CITY

Your great Panamanian adventure starts.

 

This day, you will have the opportunity of visiting the emblematic Panama City. It is known by its famous canal and for being the very center of commerce in Central America.

 

Then, you will get to rest in the hotel that will be waiting for you. The next day, you go on your way to the Caribbean Paradise!

DAYS 2, 3 & 4 SAN BLAS, INDIGENOUS KUNA YALA TERRITORY

You will spend wonderful 3 days and 2 nights in the paradisiacal San Blas Islands, located in the Caribbean Coast of Panama. It is a perfect hiding placeto disconnect and disappear for a few days.

 

Here, you will experience the Kuna Tala Tribe lifestyle, which is an indigenous tribe that has faithfully maintained their traditions and territory protecting the lands from foreign exploitation. You will also get to visit different islands each day, being able to do many tourist activities in its crystal clear waters, like snorkeling.

 

It will be the perfect place to relax under a palm tree reading a good book or simply enjoying de sights or the marine breeze.

 

On the fourth day, after enjoying a fun day in San Blas Islands, we will go to Panama City, back to the hotel.

The next day, we will start our way to the Pacific Ocean and its magical sunsets.

 

We will arrive in the secluded Santa Catalina town, starting point to head for Coiba Island, which is famous for its great scuba diving conditions and having the bestpreserved coral wall with an unparalleled quantity of marine life. The hotel will be waiting for us to regain energy after the journey.

DAYS 5, 6, 7 & 8 SCUBA DIVING IN COIBA

After having a delicious breakfast in the hotel, a boat will pick us up to start our great scuba diving experience.

 

We will take only what e need for the two days and 1 night we will be spending in Onda Bay, which is a magical hidden place in the middle of the Panamanian Pacific Coast. Among palm and coconut trees, it will be a perfect place to relax and reconnect with yourself.

We will spend 2 days scuba diving and enjoying the wonders of this national Park.

 

Coiba national Park gives us the opportunity to scuba dive with manta rays, dolphins, different kinds of shark, like the whitetip reef shark, hammerhead shark, bigeye thresher shark, and the great shark whale. In addition, if we travel between July and the end of August, we will have the opportunity to see whales and to hear how they communicate under the sea with their calves.Without a dount, it is a natural spectacle.

 

On the 7th day, we will return to land to rest in the hotel, and the next day, we will start our journey to the Boquete Mountains and the famous La Amistad National Park.

 

For all of those who have not chosen the scuba diving challenge, there are numerous activities to do in Santa Catalina, such as: surfing in the popular Watches Beach, where surfers of all levels will find their spot; plus, there is the opportunity of renting boards and taking lessons. There are also different daily tours to different islands to go watching the marine wildlife, including snorkeling.

DAYS 9 / 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 BOQUETE, THE PANAMANIAN MOUNTAINS

At this point, we start the journey to the Central American mountains; we abandon the hottest and most humid weathers and start stepping into the delightful freshness and breeze of the Panama Mountains.

 

We will arrive in Boquete, a town with a rural charm; we will settle in the hotel and have the rest of the day off to enjoy the river side and its landscapes.

Throughout these days, we will do different activities to enjoy all the hidden spots in these valleys surrounding La Amistad National Park; this park partly belongs to the neighboring country, Costa Rica, and it has abundant animal and plant species.

 

The first day, we will go to a fun climbing workshop in wonderful volcanic plated rocks. These rocks have been sculpted many years behind after the volcano’s last explosion; here you can find routes for all levels of experience. In the afternoon, the courageous ones that have taken on the challenge of the ascent to Barú Volcano, will start the ascent to the peak, where you will see the sun rise from the Panamanian roof, at over 11,155 feet above sea level, with the Caribbean and the Pacific, each at opposite sides of the volcano.

 

The second day will be left for resting the body and mind. After the ascent to the volcano, we will have the day to regain our strength. You can stretch your legs with a nice stroll through this quiet town in the afternoon.

 

The third day is time to get wet! This day, we go rafting in Chiriquí River, where we put our strength to test in the hands of teamwork. The landscapes surrounding Chiriquí River are of a scenic beauty that will result hard to forget.

 

The fourth day, we will have two possible excursions depending on the weather and the season we are in. If the weather conditions are ideal and we are in the whale season, we will go on the search of the giants in the Gulf of Chiriquí; we will spend the whole the on the ship. We will enjoy the islands by going snorkeling and searching the humpback whales and their calves as they come from the cold waters of the North and the South.

If we are out of season, or in case there are big waves or bad weather conditions and we cannot do the activity, we will go on the trail of the 3 Hidden Waterfalls (CataratasEscondidas in Spanish). This trail is suitable for all levels of experience and it is in the trail of the quetzals; it is a comfortable route of about 4 hours long, and you can see the three waterfalls here.

 

We will swim in the natural pools guided by our environmentalist guide in order to learn about the surrounding flora and fauna.

 

For all of those who have not chosen any challenge, such as the ascent to Barú Volcano or going rafting; you will have numerous activities that less adventurous, such as going on interpretative trails, coffee routes or to hot springs. Our representative will inform you of everything you need to know in order to enjoy the trip to the fullest.

DAY 14

On this day, it is time to say good-bye to our adventure; we will go to David Airport to get to Panama City, where we will take our flight back home.

 

All of those who chosen the extension to Bocas del Toro, will be picked up by our transportation service, and you will be taken to the paradisiacal islands of Bocas del Toro; this is a place to finish your trip and relax in its crystal clear and calm Caribbean waters.

 

If you count with the time, this is a place that the team of Animal Limit recommendsthat you visit.

OPTIONAL EXTENSION

DAYS 14, 15, 16 & 17 BOCAS DEL TORO, PARADISIACAL ARCHIPELAGO

We will return to the Caribbean side, but this time to the paradisiacal beaches of Bocas del Toro. They are worldwide known for the practice of scuba diving, dolphin watching and the paradisiacal beaches, such as CayoZapatilla.

 

 

The first day, we will travel from Boquete to Bocas del Toro and, in the afternoon, we will have time to visit Estrella Beach located in the same Island of Bocas del Toro.

 

 

We will continue with one day of scuba diving in the different beaches and reefs, having the chance to see the different islands from the ship. For all of those who are stepping into the world of scuba diving for the first time, Bocas offers unbeatable conditions to get certified, with calm and clear waters ate very competitive prices. This is the perfect scenery to improve our underwater skills while we have the opportunity of seeing an airplane, and a shipwreck underwater in addition to the great soft coral gardens that characterize these coasts.

 

* For all of those who have not taken on the challenge of going scuba diving, Bocas del Toro offers numerous activities and tours to go on. One of them is the visit to Estrella Beach, recommended for all types of travelers because of its proximity to the island, you can also go surfing in the famous Bluff Beach and visit Bastimentos National Park. In addition, you can relax with a good book by the beach or in any of its seaside bars.

 

*We recommend that you return to Panama City by airplane from Colón Island.
